Antiques are a popular buy in these locations with many tourists returning home with an ancient and rustic piece of furniture. Secondhand bookshops are also popular in the smaller towns and villages with many including cafes that allow you to enjoy a cup of Yorkshire tea whilst reading a book.
The cities of Yorkshire have all the larger chain stores and Meadowhall Retail Park in South Yorkshire is one of the largest shopping centres in Europe, catering for millions of visitors every year. Meadowhall is a popular one-stop shop for Christmas purchases and gets very busy during this time of year.
