The picturesque town of Whitby and old fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay lie 20 miles up the coast, whilst, inland, the great houses of Castle Howard, Sledmere and Burton Agnes, and Rievaulx Abbey, are within easy reach, as are Flamingo Land Theme Park, Eden Camp and the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway with its scenic journey over the 'Heartbeat' moorlands. York's myriad attractions are 40 miles. Quad bike trekking, riding and golf can be found nearby, and fishing locally. Pub/restaurant 200 yards, shop 1 mile.
