Both Scarborough's traditional seaside attractions and Filey's sandy beaches are about 8 miles away whilst the fascinating old harbour town of Whitby, picturesque Robin Hood's Bay and the resort of Bridlington are all within easy reach and the historic city of York, with its minster, museums and great shopping, is only a 30 minute drive.

A dining pub and restaurant are a 200 yard stroll, there is a shop 2 miles away and more extensive shopping in Crossgates, 7 miles.

Superb beach, rock and pier fishing available on the Yorkshire coast just a short drive from the cottage.
